Andrea Koziol - vocalist
Andrea Koziol is a soul singer songwriter based in Toronto Canada. She is active on the folk/jazz festival circuit, and maintains a busy career as a studio vocalist, and voice over actor. Most recently she has found herself collaborating with a community of DJs, producers and beat based improvisers, that make music for adventurous souls who need to dance into the wee hours of the morning.
She has created 5 solo CDs to date, and is currently writing a 6th based on her fascination with vintage Elton John. She also continues to record and perform as a member of the folk/roots duo, Tarbelle (with guitar/banjo master Joel Schwartz) and the soul/electronica ensemble, Bartholomaus (with producer/bass guitar legend Ian de Souza).
Her voice can be heard on a myriad of Canadian albums and films, her songs receive national airplay on CBC radio, and her co-writes with artists such as jazz prodigy Michael Kaeshammer have won international awards. She has completed a music residency at the Banff Centre for the Arts, appeared as a guest lecturer for the Sing! Festival of Vocal Arts, and she is honoured to have been the recipient of the KM Hunter Award for music.
Andrea Koziol is a passionate and dexterous singer, who is thrilled to perform with Jeans ’n Classics and many wonderful symphony orchestras across North America. When she’s not on the road, she loves cooking creatively, talking to birds in her garden, and driving her family crazy practicing overtone singing.
